Artist Alley: A Federal Hill Festival Special, June 3

The Artist Alley at the Federal Hill Jazz&Blues Wine&Art Festival on June 3 features several talented artists. One of them, Jessica Damen of Federal Hill, has painted a beautiful still life, "Morning Tea" (see photograph), specifically for the festival. Jessica has posted the painting on e-bay to generate interest in the piece and the festival, and has generously offered to donate 50% of the net proceeds of the sale to Federal Hill Main Street.

Jessica Damen's studio is located in Baltimore City, but her artwork is seen throughout the United States. She has won many awards, and her work has been included in national shows, art galleries, and in private and public collections. Be sure to stop in and say hello when you are browsing through Artist Alley, which will be located on West Cross Street, adjacent to the festival Wine Garden. Info: www.damenart.com

Several other artists who will be displaying and selling their original work on Artist Alley as well, including Mark Cottman of Mark Cottman Gallery and Crystal Moll of Crystal Moll Gallery, both located on South Charles Street in Federal Hill.

In addition to great art and wine, the festival also features lots of live music on two stages, food&drink, arts&crafts, and a whole city block dedicated to children's activities. Info: www.historicfederalhill.org or 410-727-4500
